RPAC (REALTORS® Political Action Committee) & Issues (Issues Mobilization) are two REALTOR® managed advocacy funds that you as a member can invest in. These funds are used to build strong communities, protect property rights and consumers, and promote a vibrant business environment.

Purpose
RPAC funds are used to support local, state and national candidates that understand and support private property rights and the rights of the self-employed.

RPAC-funded candidates have helped pass legislation that:
- Protects consumers from unfair service agreements (MN, 2024; ND, 2023)
- Requires wholesalers to be licensed real estate agents and disclose the practice to consumers (ND, 2023)
- Modernized real estate license law in North Dakota (ND, 2021)
- Expanded property disclosure requirements to be required in nearly all residential transactions, not just those involving a real estate licensee (ND, 2019 & 2021)
- Maintained real estate as an “essential service” during the COVID-19 pandemic (MN, 2020)
- Increased real estate pre-licensing education requirements to 90 hours (ND, 2019)
ISSUES
Purpose
Issues funds are used to support or oppose advocacy campaigns for public policy issues that affect the interests of private property rights and the self-employed.

Issues funds have been used to support or oppose these key issues:
- To defeat Measure 4 in 2024, which would have eliminated property tax in North Dakota (Statewide Measure)
- To pass a specified mill levy in 2017, which allowed Fargo Public Schools to receive adequate funding (FPS Special Election)
- To pass Measure 1 in 2016, which extended a ½% sales tax in Cass County used to fund the Flood Diversion (County Measure)
- To pass Measure 1 in 2016, which extended current sales tax in the City of Fargo used to fund the Flood Diversion (City Measure)
- To pass Measure 2 in 2014, which constitutionally abolished transfer tax in North Dakota (Statewide Measure)
